Zechariah was faced with a predicament. He and his wife, Elizabeth, were childless, but even worse was the fact that they had become very old. In fact, scripture states that she was called barren. As far as man was concerned it was over for her! But, definitely not with God!

Like every other day in his life, he woke up one morning expecting the usual, but got the extraordinary. God had sent an angel with the incredible news that he would have a son, and not just a son – the forerunner of the Lord Jesus Christ!
